Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Weytu collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. Weytu is a navigation app for gated communities and condominiums, operated by Joel Delgado Castillo out of Las Vegas, Nevada. It currently operates in condominiums mapped in Las Vegas, with no geographic restriction in its design that would prevent expanding to other cities in the future.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your full name and email address. Your password is managed directly by Firebase Authentication (by Google) — we never see or store it in plain text on our servers.

Location (GPS). Weytu needs your location to detect which condominium you're in and calculate your route to a destination. This includes access to your location while using the app and, in some cases, while the app is in the background, so we can continue guiding you during an active trip. We never sell or share your location with advertisers.

Device identifier. We link your account to a device identifier to prevent a single account from being used simultaneously on multiple phones without authorization.

Last shared destination (optional). We don't ask for or store your actual home address. If you use the "Share route" feature, we simply save the building and apartment you last shared, so you can share it again faster without typing it in each time. Any user physically inside a condominium can share any destination located within that same condominium — this isn't a feature exclusive to residents.

Payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We don't store card numbers or full financial data — we only receive your subscription status from Stripe (active, pending, expired).

2. How we use your information

• Detect which condominium you're in and calculate routes within it.
• Keep your session active and protect your account from unauthorized use.
• Process your subscription and grant you access to the app.
• Let you share your location or a destination with other people, if you choose to.
• Communicate with you about your account or important service changes.

3. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We only share it with the providers we need to operate the app:

• Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, and website hosting.
• Mapbox — map display and route calculation.
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing.

Each of these providers processes data according to its own privacy policy.

4. Sharing your location with others

If you use the "Share route" feature, we generate a temporary link (valid for 2 hours) that lets the recipient see the destination you shared within the condominium. This link does not expose your real-time location — only the fixed destination you chose to share.

5. How long we keep your information

We retain your account data for as long as you keep your account active. Links generated by "Share route" automatically expire after 2 hours. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see contact section).

6. Your rights

• You can request access to the data we hold about you.
• You can request correction of inaccurate data.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
• You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings — note that this may prevent the app from working correctly.

7. Children's privacy

Weytu does not ask for or verify the age of people who register. The app is intended for adults, since using it requires having your own phone with mobile data access. We don't design or direct the app at minors. If a parent or guardian identifies that a minor is using a Weytu account, they can write to us (see contact section) to request that account's deletion.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll indicate this by updating the date at the top of this document.
